Welcome to the 2024 season!
Dear friends of Grindal Salmon Lodge,
A new season is approaching fast and we are just as excited as you are!
We are very thankful that our lodge is almost fully booked and we are now in the process of making the final preparations for the season opening. It is our goal to improve every season and we have some surprises in store for our guests this year as well. More on that later, as the opening approaches.
The conditions in the river valley are very promising! The combination of an early spring and moderate amounts of snow in our surrounding mountains could bring the first bigger salmon further up the river than normal for the start of the season.
We are hoping for a low, clear river on June 1st, with temperatures above 7 degrees, so that even the first big fish will jump the Pollen falls and put all our beats on upper Grindal in play. But as you know, this is salmon fishing, so anything can happen!

6 rods June 5 - 9
4 rods June 16 - 19
